Getting Started

If you have used Microsoft Active Server Pages at all, then you've used the Request object, the Response object, and probably have made some database calls using ADO. You are well on your way to using SA-FileUp.

If you haven't used Active Server Pages, we strongly recommend that you first take the Microsoft prepared tutorial. The tutorial takes only one hour from start to finish and includes server-side scripting, and using Active Server Components like SA-FileUp. You even get to build your own Active Server Component using Visual Basic!

• For IIS Version 3, there is an Active Server Pages Roadmap that contains the tutorial. The Roadmap can be found in the 'Microsoft Internet Server (Common)' Start menu. The tutorial uses VBScript exclusively.
• For IIS Version 4 or later, the tutorial can be found in the on-line documentation. The IIS 4 (or later) Tutorial allows you to use either VBScript or JScript. Almost all of our examples use VBScript. Follow:
